My training in Interpersonal Communication was a strong foundation for my therapy practice. Depression, anxiety, & effects of stress and trauma are all inter-related to communication difficulties. With improved communication skills we increase the chances of getting to being understood by others. It's a powerful feeling to know when communications have resulted in shared meaning.

Mindfulness can bring our focus back to the present. Often when we struggle our worries focus on the past or the future. I've used several mindfulness practices to gently bring us back to the present, where we find our creative center and can use our strengths to deal with our problems. Brief guided meditation can actually change our brain waves from beta, to alpha, to theata/delta. This opens us to our own personal healing powers.
